Pumpkin Patch

My craving has been satisfied at least for now.  This was Jamir and I's first time at a real pumpkin patch! It was at the Red Barn in Santiquin.  It was really cute. You take a tractor ride out to it though the orchard.  They had a little maze made of crates and slides and sandboxes for the kids.  Honestly, sometimes I feel a little silly doing these things without a kid with me as an excuse, but then I have to think of it as "romantic" right? Jamir was totally fine going down the slide :).  Anyways, I always love going to the barn with all the cutesy stuff. We bought some overpriced apple juice and it is GOOD.

After as with tradition, we carved the pumpkins. I've never had fresh pumpkins before (as in not from the store). They are going to make some amazing pumpkin pie!

Yes, I am wearing my super awesome poncho from Mexico.

I'm glad we have a pic of this couch.  Then we can look back and remember how amazing gorgeous our first couch was ;)

Park City

Happy early birthday Jamir! So here's the deal; we basically celebrated his birthday this weekend because next he is taking his engineering test. Yikes. So since it wouldn't be very fun and too stressful to try and fit everything all in one weekend, we did this one.  I had found several groupons that were perfect for Jamir. First we stopped in Heber to rock climb.  We also detoured to Midway to check out the soldier's memorial.  I'm glad we went. These places are so beautiful.

We then headed to Park City to stay the night and go the Olympic Park for some adventure courses! As with our tradition, we found a local pizza place, got a little cake, and celebrated in our cute hotel. Jamir says he has to get me a cat for my birthday (he hates cats) to make up for all the stuff I planned for his ;)

Soldier Memorial. You drive in spirals up a hill for a 3D visual.
Este es un monumento en la cima de un cerro en una de las ciudades al noroeste de Provo.

Birthday Cake and new shirt.

In the morning, I made waffle eggs, sausage, and potatoes.  Yum!

Olympic Park

Beginning of the lower ropes course. Pretty confident until we did the upper one :)

Just one wire and rope to hang on to.  It got pretty scary, but it was a good workout.

Behind us are the pillars we did.

The last part you zipline to a 65 foot drop from the tower.

The course above us

And a little chairlift to finish it off.

Another groupon. The Blue Iguana. It was good. And really cute since it was next to a balcony facing main street in Park City.

We walked up and down Main St, since it was on my bucket list. This is Loosey the Moose. Apparently it is one of the last original icons.

Fall Time Means...

Corn mazes and pumpkin patches! Yesterday we went to a corn maze in West Jordan.  It was fun and cute! Sadly, the one we went to last year was a little bigger and cheaper, but they decided not to do it this year. But this one was still a good experience.  You know, growing up in Elko had its fun times, but it definitely needed more corn mazes. I think that is why I'm starved to go to so many now.  And pumpkin patches.  But then I remember that nothing grows in Elko, so I can't blame Elkonites for not having them.

Anywho, today I'm finishing up this post since Jamir is at coming back from the Jazz game.  We went to Wheeler Farm today.  It was really cute and I loved all the photo opportunities. If it were up to me, I would have stayed there all day taking pictures, but since Papa, Mama, Josue, and Kenia Lopez came too, we didn't want to make it too boring for them. I was a little sad that the so called "pumpkin patch" was a hay bale area with pumpkins just sitting on the ground. What! Don't they grow on vines? So we skipped that and just did the tractor wagon ride.  Sadly, this just means I will have to go to a real pumpkin patch until my craving has been satisfied.  But until I take my cute pictures in a pumpkin patch, here are some of the corn maze and today.

This one was fun because they had numbers to find with questions to answer at each one.

Us in 50 years

We got up earl to volunteer to help with the scout climbing activity.  The drive to Heber was beautiful! So many colors on the trees and the sky was wonderful.  The scouts were so cute.  They aren't the stinky young men we have. They totally listened and didn't sing Justin Bieber songs, thank goodness!

Jamir proposed.  He is being a great husband taking me to BYU spectacular tonight in honor of this anniversary!  Three years ago he cooked me lasagna at his apartment, took me to BYU spectacular and proposed by the Provo temple.  I couldn't ask for a better, closer, unified relationship.

I was feeling nostalgic, and was looking through some of our engagements.  I love these pictures. My roommate at the time, Kristin Styles, took them and they were edited on my computer. Thought I would share just some of them in honor of the time.
