Benji is two months! At his 2 month appt he was in the 75 percentile for everything once you adjusted for being early. He wasn't quite on the chart if not adjusted, but the doctor said he is growing and doing very well since he was early. He weighs 8 lbs 15 oz and is 21.5 inches. He got his shots and I've never heard him cry so hard before. I could see the shock in his eyes when they poked him and my heart hurt just a little. Big things this month were:
- Sucked his thumb twice. But has trouble keeping that hand still. His favorite orange pacifier seems to keep him calm most of the time.
- Holding up his head better. I don't feel as scared supporting his head because does a good job of keeping it up.
- Started sleeping a little longer. Will go 5 hour stretches if he is really tired. (yay!)
- Watching his mobiles and Manolo (who is always around him). He actually pulled a toy towards him to start sucking.
- Started smiling the last day in February. He really loves it when we change his diaper. Maybe he likes the freedom.
- Liking to watch us in the mirror and hang out in the bath water.
- People always start a conversation with us with, "He has so much hair!"The old man look lasted about a week before new hair came in.
We love our Benji. He is so even tempered and is usually content to hang out in his swing, but we always like to snuggle in our bed in the mornings. My favorite outfit for this month was this bear sweater the Rojas gave us. Hence the tons of pics.
