2 Years

We were able to have a day to ourselves for our anniversary in Mexico City. We explored Chapultepec (I don't think I spelled that right). It means "grasshopper" in Spanish.  It is a huge park with a zoo, a castle, art, and lots of other things and the best part is that everything is FREE. How awesome is that? It was a great day to take for ourselves.
The Entrance off the subway

That is the Angel of Independence in the back

For brunch I had floutas and Jamir had a pambazo. yum

Monument for those who fought for the country

Lions! This zoo had it all

Panda, one of the only zoos to have them

They had sooo many monkeys

The parrot licked Jamir's finger and wanted o give me a kiss

The park was like a jungle with huge trees

The castle where the royal lived

Can you find us?

We ate at Italianis for dinner

And we finished off the day in the super nice pool at the hotel. Really nice especially after walking all day

Mexico for Christmas!

We spent Christmas break in Mexico. First we were in Hermosillo where Jamir's family lives, but we got to travel for three days to Mexico city. It was fun! Lots of food, people and weird smells. There is always something to see.

In Nogales, but I've noticed pretty much everyone does this.

Our gifts waiting for us when we get back

Papa Lopez treated each of the boys to a new suit

I like this picture because it captures what Mexico is all about....jk

Some fancy hotel we stopped at

Inside the Cathedral in Zocalo. It's the one where we stayed right behind last year.

Ruins uncovered from underneath the city

We saw Mary Poppins! Interesting to hear it in Spanish when I've heard it so much in English

Surprisingly, the first time I've had a churro in Mexico.

There will be more, but I'm so tired from the long drive back yesterday....but I'll get to it :)
