Silver Falls

Memorial Day weekend we headed to Silver Falls State Park. It just happened to be cold that weekend and so of course I didn't pack warm enough for the boys, but we survived! It was Danny's first trip and he did great. He slept better than I did actually. We hiked about six miles, seeing 8 of the 10 falls. Jamir carried Ben and I carried the backpack and Danny. My knees were killing me by the end, but we felt very accomplished and enjoyed our dinner that night. We even saw some friends from our branch and Ben went to play with Wendy and eat breakfast with them. He cared more about playing than hiking. It was beautiful! The pictures don't show how big the waterfalls actually were. Definitely a gem.
our first stop. We actually saw 9 waterfalls if you count this one. We went to Portland on the way to do some immigration stuff for Jamir.

Ben found a friend on the trail and did not want to leave
