Mahaffy Ranch

We picked out our pumpkins early this year since October is going to be busy with our trip to Monterrey. I love fall. This was the best pumpkin patch we have been to yet. The pumpkins were huge! And we had a good pick since it is early still. We also did a small corn maze and saw some baby animals. They had a corn gun, but we will save it for next time :)

We are starting to really feel like part of the community here. We both have callings, I have a job. I forget how small it is all the time. It reminds me of Elko a lot. Which is ok. I think when we move on to Medford, we will really miss it and our new friends. We have had Sunday dinner with members in our ward or people from work more often than not. We are really happy in this time of our lives, and really grateful to be where we are.

Baby pigs. Too bad they were sleeping and wouldn't come out

I've never seen corn so tall. Everything grows better in Oregon

Bay Area Fun Festival

Coos Bay was having a fun festival this Saturday. There was the Pre 10K that I ran and Jamir was the photographer. The race was hard! It is all hills. Steve Prefontaine used it as a training course. They even have a hill called "agony hill summit." It was a good experience and there is a huge support from the community to cheer from the sidelines for about the 1,000 runners. Next time Jamir will do it with me.

After the race we wandered the market, listened to a jazz band and watched the parade. There was more events like the car/quilt show, but we decided watching BYU play was more worth it so we went home. I have really wanted to have a fire on the beach since we got here so we ate dinner on the beach. And I figured I had earned eating those extra hot dogs after the long day!

Finishing on the Pirate track

It was hot! I was completely soaked since people spray you with a hose

Small towns have the best parades. The Pirate cheerleaders.

The sand provides a nice holder for the hot dog sticks

Nothing better than hots dogs on the beach :)

Loon Lake

We took a trip to Loon Lake on Saturday. We heard it was a nice beach-like lake because of the sand. And since we cannot swim in the ocean, we got to enjoy a sandy beach somewhere else. It was nice relaxing and beautiful Saturday.

It is weird to me that the leaves are already changing color when it isn't cold yet.

There were many other less known falls in the area

I loved this tree

Stayed in Camas, WA, in a cute bed and breakfast. We loved the charm.
