October; Sunriver, Jamir's birthday, new job, branch president and Halloween

October was a month with a lot of changes. Jamir was called as Branch President. Oh boy. So far it hasn't been too bad. A few more meetings than usual. The hardest thing for me is sitting with the boys during sacrament. Usually I have help, but it does make it hard to listen when trying to keep two active boys quiet. But we are hoping it will be a good opportunity to grow as people. I do have to say that our Stake President was very aware of how it affects the families of those who have leader positions and he was very considerate of me. So I am grateful for that.

Earlier in the month we headed to Sunriver to spend time with Jamir's siblings. We saw Tumalo falls before we met with them and drove through beautiful Bend. We stayed at a nice house with running trails all around. Some siblings we hadn't seen in a few years, so it was good to see them.

Jamir also switched jobs. He is now lead engineer for Jackson County. His old job was nice, but the benefits were very enticing as well as a possibility of management at this new job, so we deiced to switch. He just started working this last week (Nov 15), but he likes it so far. His schedule also allows him to go in early and get off at 3:30 so I will enjoy that a lot.

And lastly, we had a fun Halloween. Ben changed his costume last minute from a spider to a cat. I painted to some egg carton ears and used a long black sock as a tail. He loved it. He has been talking about Halloween since August. He really got into trick or treating this year too. We saw our neighbors walking out the same time as us so we walked with them down the street to the popular houses. It got so packed with people! I'm glad we live close to that nice street, but also that we have our own private street away from it all. We didn't have any trick or treaters, which is totally fine with me.

last dahlia. I'm hoping next year to have many many dahlias!

A short hike. Ben was in the car having a melt down. So I walked around with Danny. Eventually Ben calmed down enough to go.

Finally got a double stroller. I love taking them on walks. And they love it.
