Baby #2, Cultural Night, Manolo and Benji sleep

After a summer of traveling, I am ready to enjoy fall at home. We had one more stop during Labor Day weekend to Vancouver, WA to help Choco and Maren with their new house. Now we are home and it feels so nice. Especially because the morning sickness from baby #2 was starting to kick in around the middle of Aug. I spent most of the time on the couch watching too many movies with Ben and the house turned to a hurricane. And it was smokey most of August, so going outside wasn't really an option anyway. BUT I am feeling much better now and the rain has brought clear, fresh air so Ben and I are continuing our morning walks. I have an appointment this Thursday, so we will see if the baby is still progressing fine. I will be 12 weeks by then , so I will feel more confident. But for now, we are enjoying the fall air and Halloween festivities.

During the eclipse. I wasn't really impressed. It got colder but didn't really get dark like I was expecting.

Celebration dinner after we heard the heartbeat

Ninja warrior training

Marked on himself with a pen. Manolo can't resist a good nap on Ben. (The only time he holds still)

Boxes are the best

We have a climber

Roman noodles are best... especially when Mom can't make anything else.

Grapevine wreath from our own vines. Now it has a Halloween one.

We had a cultural night with our Branch. It's an annual thing, but they do it with the stake every other year. This year was the smaller one. Our relief society just got rearranged (I'm still secretary) so we had to plan pronto to get it to work. We had 3 weeks. I made the invites, the flower photo backdrop, the centerpieces (flowers from our yard), and fruit skewers, tres leches and an apple pie (to represent usa). It turned out pretty well and we had some non members come.

Ben preferred to roll around on the floor

Ben likes to hide behind the shoe rack in the closet

Bathroom pretty much done. Add a backsplash and hang a few things left to do

Found this swing at a free yard sale. It's the perfect hight.

We just put up our Halloween decorations and then Ben got a new shirt and window clings in the mail. He loves to peel them off and can say "bat" and "punkin"
