Fall Pictures/Fotografias de oto~no

We finally took our fall pictures! We drove up Provo Canyon and the leaves were perfect! I think we had always gone too late every other year.  Anyways, it was so beautiful.  Now the rest of the leaves in Provo need to change.
Finalmente tomamos nuestras fotos de oto~no! Manejamos al Cayon de Provo y las hojas estaban perfectas! Creo que a~nos anteriores hemos ido muy tarde en la temporada.

GOOOO Cougars!/ Vamos Cougars!

Happy Fall! This week has really felt like fall with the weather being cold. I am not ready for the snow yet, even though it is already on the mountains. Mom and Dad came Friday night to see the football game. In true Steflik tradition, we stood on the corner and got free tickets.  The game was not too popular, so we were even able to sit pretty close to the field!  I hate to admit this, but this was our first time actually going to the game in person while at BYU as a couple...I know, I have my excuses.  It was pretty cold, but fun.  I'm glad we won even after the turnovers.

On Saturday we spent most of the day with the padres going to the temple, car show, and Olive Garden.  I was happy to send a crapload of stuff home that we wont be able to take with us. I'm excited that Jamir has already had an interview! It looks pretty promising, but we are keeping our options open. Can't wait to find out where we will end up!

Feliz oto~no!

My windowsill. I love fall colors.

My Dad's sign. "free or cheap" is the way to go.

Timpanogos National Monument/ Parque Nacional Timpanogos

On Saturday we spent most of the day around Timpanogos National Monument.  Can I just say how great it is that we have the national parks pass? I didn't realize all that we were missing.  We hiked to the Timp caves and then spent a couple hours rock climbing.  I was really proud of myself, I did a 5.8 level! At the quarry I was doing around 5.6.  Jamir did a 5.9.  We saw these caves that you climb upsidedown (5.12). No way we could do those, but soo cool.

The caves were really cool too.  I have never been in one before so it was a first for me.  The air is around 45 degrees F all year even in winter and very humid.  It was amazing with all the formations.  I was so upset with myself that I forgot the SD card to put in the camera (and the battery in our camera was dying)!  So the pics are stinky, so I'll just have to remember most of the details.

And this is what happens when you go rock climbing with your phone in your pocket.

Hogle Zoo

Another thing to check off my list! We are counting down the days.  I don't think I'll actually believe it when we are packed up and on to another state, to another apartment.  We have lived in our studio for almost three years! Just three ish months left.  We are ready to go to Texas or even Florida depending on Jamir's job offers.  We'll see.

Anyways, we spent most of our Saturday at Hogle Zoo. I'm glad we waited to go because the weather is so nice now. It did rain on us, but its my favorite weather, so I wasn't dissapointed.  Hogle Zoo was fun. It was nothing compared to the zoo in Mexico City, but it was still fun to see the tigers, polar bears and other animals I hadn't seen before close up.

Friday we had wandered around Riverwoods because they were having a "Chalk the Block" festival.  It was pretty cool to see the sidewalk chalk artists. They had lost of booths and live bands.  Some of the art was covered up because of the rain though. Too bad.

Una cosa mas que teniamos planeado hacer.

Ice Cream from Provo Beach Resort. I got Red Velvet Cake...it was good! And worth the price since I got a "kid" size
Studio C was there! And those stinkin minions are all over the place.

I really liked how they set it up so you can get really close to them.

I think my favorite animals were the giraffes.

I always feel a little silly because we are adults going to things parents take their kids to, but I've overcome that and accepted that we are just kids ourselves :) Lion drinking fountains are for us too!

I thought it was cute how the orangutan covered itself from the rain.

And there were peacocks wandering around. This one let me get really close to it.

After the zoo, we walked around Liberty Park. I have been here before, but never around the whole thing for some reason. It was so pretty on a day after rain.

Yes, I know these pics are huge, but I really like them.

And today my lesson in primary was about how we can be friends. I took a pic of everyone because that is what friends do...(preparing them for facebook, jk).  Also, I wanted a pic to remember when I leave. From left: Paulo, Breanna, Carmen, Maria, and Lizzy in front. The only one missing is Amy (not me, another one).
I'm so ready for fall now! I have many things planned to enjoy our last days here. I just hope I don't regret not doing something once we are gone. So far I have corn mazes, pumpkin patches, chair lifts, lots of soups, fall pics, scenic drives and more! Can't wait.

Utah State Fair

Here are some fun pics from our Saturday. We wandered around the State Fair to see a lumberjack show, duck races, art, and lots of animals. You know how much I love animals. I've decided I want to have a goat and my kids can raise it and we can use its milk for cheese. Sounds like a good idea right?

That's one big lumberjack

Holy Cow! They were huge!

The largest pumpkin was 620 pounds!

Oh, and GO BYU!!! Jamir wore his shirt to show support. We will definitely be going to a game this fall.
