Day 4; Chichen Itza, Ik Kil and Isla Mujeres

The last day of our trip. We ventured to Chichen Itza and explored this HUGE Mayan ruin area. I realized I didn't take that many pictures, but it was quite spectacular. After getting hot from walking around, we jumped in the cenote, Ik Kil, nearby. It was a little crowded, but it was a really cool cenote. I loved how there were vines growing down from the hole in the ceiling down to the water.

We felt cheated for missing the first part of our trip, but we were able to visit Isla Mujeres (a small island 20 mins ferry away from Cancun) at the end of the day before catching our flight to Hermosillo. It was the beautiful clear beach we were looking for. Wish we could have stayed longer.

I probably look irritated in videos..I'm just not a person who likes to be in videos :)

Tons of these. They said it had wooden roofs to make a marketplace.

A large version of the "hit the ball through the hole with your hip" game.
A little view of Ik Kil

On the way back to Cancun we stopped in a little town and ate street food. It rained like crazy on us, but was really refreshing.

On the ferry to Isla Mujeres. Our eco sunscreen doesn't rub in very well.

Happy we found a clear beach.

As we were leaving. So pretty. Next time we will spend more time on this island.

Sad to leave, but Cancun gave us a beautiful sunset.

And one pic of us back in Hermosillo with the family. Kino Beach.
