Jamir turns 29 and Salem trip

We went up to Salem on Friday for Jamir's PE exam. The weather has been gorgeous this year. The leaves are more vibrant than I have ever seen them. Jamir's birthday was on Wednesday where we had cake and presents and a dance party with glowing balloons.
Then Jamir spent all day Thursday studying as we drove to Salem to stay the night. I didn't mind the drive though. The hills were beautiful with evergreens and pops of orange. We relaxed at the hotel and swam. Then on Friday we woke up early to eat breakfast and take Jamir to his exam. Ben and I stayed in the hotel until check out and then we headed to the riverfront park to play. First we saw the capitol where Ben climbed the stairs and trees. I wasn't going to go to the children's museum, but we drove by and it had a very fun looking outdoor play center so we stopped and it turned out to be pretty cheap. And it kept Ben entertained for a good 2.5 hours (or until he pooped his diaper and I had to go change it). It was three historic houses that had been restored so every room had beautiful molding and banisters. I enjoyed it as much as Ben I think. Luckily it wore him out so much that he fell asleep until Jamir finished his test.
