2 Years for the Benjito

Ben is 2! What are we going to do with him. He has so much personality. He knows what he wants but he can also be very sweet. Recently he has really tried to help. He opens the sliding door for Manolo, and puts things in the trash. He helps me clean the windows and seems like he really does want to help even though it means another job for me. He loves cars, planes, dinosaurs, and fish. He loves running outside, going for bike rides, walks and being at the park. His favorite food is broccoli. I think he will always eat it if it's available. He also loves to dip-chips, cookies, bbq sauce, anything that he can dip. He surprises people when he eats spicier food than Jamir and me. He is my leech or my shadow, always sitting on me or following me around, but he loves his Papa and loves to run and dance with him (Just Dance is a favorite of his). He sings and plays the ukelele. He and Manolo love to play in the yard together. We love his energy, even if it makes us tired and his expressions and words. He is now forming sentences and is our parrot. He repeats everything. We love him so much and can't believe it's already been 2 years!

I had a doctor appointment that day so we headed out for that, and Ben played with a sweet toddler in the waiting room. I was grateful because it was the glucose test which takes an hour. But he was happy. And then we met Papa for lunch, and meant to play at the park, but he had already fallen asleep and we drove home for pictures. He had fettachini alfredo (with broccoli) and chocolate cake for dinner. After we played with his trains and danced around.
Birthday morning. The anticipation

he's actually yawning...a little sleepy

found this after I told him to "put it in the bathroom, please"

met Papa for lunch

Sometimes I couldn't keep Manolo out of the picture

the only way I got him to look at me was by holding the horse chestnuts from our tree by the camera. He was having fun chucking them over the fence

my plan was to have confetti in the pictures...I need an assistant. Oh well, Ben had a lot of fun with the fan and balloons

it was a beautiful day. It felt like spring

Trains set from Mom and Dad's house. PnJ gave him a cute fish book and Tim and MK gave him a fishing rod. Kenia and Chris gave him a book and a seaplane. I had bought him a dumptruck with a car. I ended up giving one to him each day because he likes to play so long with one toy, I didn't want to overwhelm.
